“By way of introduction, I would like to point out that I do not consider myself an expert about real estate. I do consider myself well above average in the judgment of people involved in a client service business. I feel comfortable saying this after having successfully managed two intensely client driven businesses at major investment banks in New York, London and San Francisco over the past 28 years.

Several years ago my wife and I purchased a house for her mother in Suwanee Georgia. In January of 2007 we put the house up for sale. Our original contact left the agency and Leighann Russell became our agent sometime in the second half of 2007. Two factors have made the sale of our house very difficult. One is the stagnated real estate market in general and the second is that we live in the northeast. As a result we have had to depend on our agent a tremendous amount for information on the local market and the maintenance on our house.

Early in 2008 we had some major water damage at the house. This was a significant problem to deal with as an absentee owner. However, Leighann handled everything. She found a couple of contractors to provide estimates and then supervised the entire project until completion. Leighann and I had a weekly call to discuss the Georgia real estate market. These could have been very depressing calls but Leighann had a way to keep them factual but optimistic at the same time. Several times Leighann and I would discuss MLS renewal, commission, and the price we had on the house. Never did she put herself or her firm in first position. It was always about me and what was best to get the transaction done for my benefit.

I guess you could say that these are all examples of what any real estate agent should be doing. My answer to that is your right but it doesn’t always happen that way in the real world. A house is your largest financial asset. It is also an amazingly emotional experience when you go to sell it. Leighann was so thorough in her work and understanding in her interface with me that I was completely comfortable having her represent my family’s interest in a major financial transaction.

Leighann Russell is very knowledgeable about real estate. She is unselfish in her approach to the transaction, and professional in every aspect of her work. If I had to pick the most important word between a client and a real estate agent its trust. I only met Leighann once but I trust her completely. She is a high quality person. I recommend her without hesitation."
